We have been working hard on many fronts, Lynda Cope and David Blake have joined us as Executive Producers (see contact details below) and came with us to Cannes in May and again for “MIPCOM” in October. We now have two written offers of funding, totaling 68% of budget, these are ‘subject to contract’ offers and still require substantial work but we are very happy to have them. We are currently talking to distribution companies re both the balance of funding and of course, distribution. We hope to complete these talks when we have the finished script, the next draft of which we will have in December.
As a result of public demand we are now offering the “Flights” prints in a larger size, (47.5cm x 71.8cm - 18.75” x 28.25” image size 63.5cm x 85.8cm 25” x 33.75” paper size) at $400. We are not increasing the edition size, there will still be the same number of prints but there will now be a choice of size and, of course, price.

Floating Islands Development Funding - Update 1 Feb 2005
The film will feature YES music, it is intended that it will contain between eight and twelve classic tracks and at least four or five new recordings.
Its been really exciting to see the level of enthusiasm and support for the development of the Floating Islands feature film.
Its clear that as well as the higher value originals at the $5000 and $25,000 level, many more people want to be involved in and support the project, and Roger has decided to make available an edition of 1000 digitally reproduced prints at a cost of $200 per print. Roger Dean will sign and number each print. The digital reproduction process allows each image to be unique, some of the rocks in the background will be in a slightly different position in each print, so that if they could be seen sequentially they would appear to be animated.
We have now refined the offering in aid of the development of Floating Islands as follows:
Purchasers of the $25,000 package will receive their signed original PLUS the $5,000 package, PLUS the two copies of the $200 digital print, PLUS,on completion of the film, a set of selected storyboards and production notes, signed by Roger Dean and the key production team and cast. All purchasers of this package will receive a screen credit on the feature film in the category “ With Special Thanks To”
