Painted for Rick Wakeman’s re-recording of the album of the same title this is the third in a trilogy of tree paintings. First was the silver birch, then the oak, and this painting has an ancient ash tree in the foreground. The image is also about a quest.
Furthermore it was an opportunity to revisit the idea of a river and a waterfall with an inexhaustible, constantly refreshed source of water.
